Hello, I am studying child development which includes a subject ‘Infant Observation’.
The course involves observing a baby during its first year.
If there are any pregnant mums who have a due date between now and end April who would be willing to have a mature-age student come to their home for an hour on about a weekly basis, I would love to hear from you.
The visits are at a time that suits you and your family. If there are older children, ideally the visit is at a time when the siblings are at school etc.
I work as a midwife on the Central Coast. Although I live at Toukley, I am flexible to travel.
Mothers who have been involved with previous students say it was a nice experience having someone simply observe their baby in its first year and found it heightened their own observations of their baby.
I look forward to hearing from to-be mothers who are interested to be involved.
